If a project has a custom Welcome page (example: SMALLbox), its publications aren't listed on the front page (except perhaps inline in the wiki content).

Fine, because there's a Publications link at the top -- but that leads to the old-style tabular view, which isn't very nice (Mark won't like it!) and which lacks the BibTeX export link etc.

Perhaps what we need is for the Publications link to lead to something more like an expanded version of the project front-page publications box -- with each publication given the IEEE-style bibliography layout, an optional BibTeX expander, and then a few lines of extra info with links to the authors and their institutions.
