h1. Tracking External Hosting
_Already hosting your code on some other public service, but interested in making it easy to find by SoundSoftware users?_
You don't have to host your code here to use this site.
Of course, you can make a project that simply points to your external hosting. That way people searching this site will find your work. But even better, you can tell your project to track your existing repository — keeping a read-only copy of it automatically, for twice the visibility.
That means you can use this site to list and index projects relevant to audio and music researchers that are already publicly hosted on other code sites — Google Code, SourceForge, GitHub, Bitbucket, anywhere with a publicly visible repository.
Examples of projects indexed here whose code is hosted elsewhere include "AIM-C":/projects/aimc, "aubio":/projects/aubio, and "MAP":/projects/map.
To set this up for your project, just go to your project's Settings page, select the Repository tab, and follow the instructions you find there.
