Remote menu should have some option for opening a remote repo

Description
A "menu-oriented" user may quite reasonably head for the Remote menu when looking for an option to open a new repo, and then perhaps go for the "Set new remote location" option, which will do quite the wrong thing. We need some way to avoid this.

Not fixed as such, but c1451b356097 adjusts the Remote menu so as to look less tempting in this situation.
