Long MIDI and audio files drift out-of-sync

Description
Janis Sokolovskis is working with long audio recordings plus MIDI versions of the same recording (output from Disklavier) in the same session. The two are supposed to be precisely in sync, but there is drift by an amount that is easily detectable after some minutes (the MIDI is faster).
Investigate (based on test files he provided to me) whether this is an intrinsic limitation of the way timing has been rounded for the MIDI time base, or an error in the way SV has loaded and converted the MIDI file.
