some funky Mechanical-Turk-Based project

Mechanical Turk is Amazons digital labour marketplace. This is ideal for work that needs humans to do be done right, but which essentially any human can do in front of their computers. Best if the work can be broken down, so that many people can contribute in parallel to get it done fast.
The "cool" thing offering money to these people for their work is that it's usually quite cheap.
I would love to learn how to use Mechanical Turk - it has immense potential for validation of Music Informatics algorithms and lots more, so if you're enthusiastic about that and don't know what to do with it yet, let's talk. I'm happy to "invest" a few tens or hundreds of quid in MTurk work — if we can answer exciting research questions with it.
