Tracking External Hosting

Already hosting your code on some other public service, but interested in making it easy to find by SoundSoftware users?

You don't have to host your code here to use this site.

Of course, you can make a project that simply points to your external hosting. That way people searching this site will find your work. But even better, you can tell your project on this site to track your existing repository — keeping a read-only copy of it automatically, for twice the visibility.

It doesn't matter where your existing repository is hosted — Google Code, SourceForge, GitHub, Bitbucket — just so long as it has a publicly visible repository.

Some examples of projects like this include AIM-C, aubio, and MAP.

To set this up for your project, just go to your project's Settings page, select the Repository tab, and follow the instructions you find there.
